Terms and Conditions
- You (the Hirer) are responsible to avoid injury or damage to persons or the inflatable and equipment. You (The Hirer) are responsible for injury or damage occurring to persons, property and equipment including all and every part of the inflatable whilst the equipment is on hire. We the "louth bouncy castle" business and its personnel accept no responsibility for any damage or injury to persons , property or equipment while the property is on hire. The Hirer will indemnify the "louth bouncy castle" business and its personnel from any or all claims and associated legal and other expenses arising by reason of injury, damage or death to persons and injury or damage to property including the equipment itself. It is recommended that the Hirer ensure they have public liability/occupier’s liability/property insurance to cover the equipment and use thereof. The Hirer is responsible for the safekeeping of the Inflatable and will be charged for any damage caused to it or for any items missing from it on return. The Hirer is responsible for providing a safe electricity supply. The Hirer should ensure that they have access to adequate first aid facilities if necessary.
- CHILDREN: Inflatables are strictly for children under 14 years old unless otherwise advised. Under no circumstances should adults enter a castle as this may result in damage to the castle. It is essential at all times that the equipment be supervised by a responsible adult. Do not allow children to operate the inflatable unit on their own.
- Children must remove their shoes, jewelry, badges, belts with sharp pieces, the contents of their pockets and consider removing spectacles before using the inflatable and children must be prevented from hanging, climbing or sitting on the walls / barriers of the castle as it is DANGEROUS.
- The maximum number of children on an in inflatable at any one time is as follows:- 12x12 = 6 Max, 15 x 15 = 8 Max, Combi = 8 max, 55 foot obstacle course = 12max, 65 foot obstacle course = 16 max , 15 foot slide = 4 max and 25foot slide =8 max. Refer also to sign on front pillar of bouncy castle for maximum numbers and if there is no sign refer to member of staff. ADULT SUPERVISION IS NECESSARY. Ensure that there is no mix of large and small children in the inflatable at the same time. If children are colliding into each other it is too crowded. You the Hirer must ensure units are staked down at all times. Stop any horseplay e.g. pushing, colliding, fighting acrobatics or behavior that is likely to cause injury or distress to others. Ensure that there is appropriate behavior on the inflatable. Nobody should be allowed on the inflatable who has neck, back or other relevant health problems. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron . This step is to help users get on and off.
- WEATHER: Use caution in high winds or bad weather as the inflatable may blow away. In the event of very windy weather (winds in excess of 24 mph (38 kph)) the inflatable must be switched off. The inflatable must not be used in heavy rain as it can be dangerous and slippery when wet. Minor wetness should be dried with a towel.
- THE INFLATABLE UNIT : You (The Hirer) are responsible for the safekeeping of the inflatable and will be liable for injury, damage or theft , missing items occurring whilst the equipment is on hire. Any damage to the equipment will have to be paid for by the Hirer named in this agreement. You must ensure that the inflatable is staked down at all times. Extreme caution is to be taken with extension cables. Children should not reach these cables. The electric blower is not to be covered with anything. Ensure that the vent on the blower is kept clear at all times. A small picnic table placed over the blower will prevent rain getting into the blower. Children must not inflate or deflate the inflatable as this may cause serious injury and damages to the unit. No one should be on the inflatable when it is being inflated or deflated. Do not move the inflatable once it is set up. Ensure that an area of 6 feet( 2 meters) around the unit is completely clear. Never turn the fan off while the unit is in use. If the inflatable is not in use you could turn the inflation blower off to save electricity.
- Insurance: As you may be aware, insurance companies are no longer offering insurance cover to leisure industries such as bouncy castle companies and therefore, we are no longer in a position to provide insurance cover. We are actively trying to secure insurance and will update customers as soon as possible. Please be aware the hirer hiring the inflatable equipment are doing so at their own risk and we specifically disclaim liability for incidental or consequential damage and assume no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage suffered by any person as a result of the use or misuse of any of its inflatables / products.
If at any stage during the hire period the inflatable is damaged / defects appear and becomes unsafe to use, the onus is on the hirer to stop using the inflatable immediately, deflate the inflatable and contact us immediately. Our castles are checked thoroughly before they are left on your premises for any defects. Unfortunately, if any defect is found we will not be able to hire the inflatable to you.
In the event of high winds the customer must stop using and deflate the inflatable immediately. No inflatable should be used in winds above 24 mph (38 kph), which is Force 5 on the Beaufort Scale (small trees in leaf begin to sway).
By booking online or by phone, it is accepted that you are agreeing to hiring the inflatable / products at your own risk.
You must ensure there is adequate supervision at all times when the castle / unit is in use. The castle cannot be left unattended and, if hired overnight, the unit, along with all accessories must safely secured.
- Equipment returned in a dirty condition will be subject to a cleaning charge. No signs are to be glued / taped or hung on the castle at any time.
- The driver is to be paid upon delivery of the unit. Booking deposits are non- refundable. Late cancellations are to be charged at the rate of 50%. Only our delivery driver is authorized to collect the inflatable and under no circumstances should any of the equipment be handed over to anyone other than our delivery driver. All units are checked on delivery and your signing below, indicates acceptance of the equipment in good condition delivered to you.
- Only one person is allowed on the slide steps at any one time and should use the slide feet first not head first.
- Ice cream, food, drink, facepaints, party poppers, coloured streamers, “silly string” playdoh, sharp objects instruments or toys, ink based products, chewing gum and pets are all forbidden on or around all inflatable units. No smoking or barbeques should be allowed near the Inflatable Units. The Inflatable Unit should not be used near a swimming pool.
